Strength plays a massive role in the performance of a rugby player as it's the foundation for several physical abilities that are important in rugby like size, speed, power and endurance.
Strength will allow you to run faster, tackle harder, jump higher, recover quicker and reduce the risk of injury.
The challenge includes both a bodyweight and weights program to cater for all strength levels.
03 - BUILT A STRONG ENDURANCE BASE
Rugby is a game of intensive physical demands including sprinting, tackling, kicking, passing and more.
We perform repeat efforts during a game whether it be making a tackle, then running back to the defensive line, then making another tackle or sprinting into a gap to receive the ball, off load then get back into a support position.
As soon as you become fatigued all those physical demands dramatically increase, resulting in poor decision-making, bad passes missed tackles and poor technique (placing your head in the wrong position when tackling)
A strong endurance base will not only allow you to perform at a high level throughout the entire game but also recover quicker (get back to normal heart rate) between repeat efforts as well as recover quicker between games.

Once you're locked in, you will receive all of your pre-training material in preparation to commence the challenge on Monday 30th January 2023.
You can start anytime during the week as long as you have a rest day between each training session and you have completed all sessions by Sunday. There are 3 sessions each week to complete.
